Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) today announced that Ernst & Young recognized GHX CEO and President Bruce Johnson with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year® 2012 Award for Health Technology & Services in the Rocky Mountain Region. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Bruce Johnson was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented last night at a special gala in Denver.
"On behalf of GHX and our entire team, I am honored by this award," said Bruce Johnson, CEO and President of GHX. ―We are working on creating new technology that can solve some of the most inefficient business processes in healthcare and it’s a privilege to lead an entire team of entrepreneurs. We have the opportunity to effect real change in the business of healthcare and that’s what drives us every day."
As a Rocky Mountain Region award winner, Bruce Johnson is now eligible for consideration for the National Entrepreneur of The Year 2012 Award. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the National Entrepreneur of The Year Overall Award winner, will be announced in Palm Springs, California, on November 17, 2012. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
