The editors of Supply &Demand Chain Executive magazine have chosen Rachel Hall, vice president of product management for GHX, as a 2014 "Provider Pro to Know"for her work in driving the development of end-to-end supply chain solutions that enable the healthcare industry to truly eliminate costs rather than shifting them from one party to another.
Now in its 14th year, the Supply &Demand Chain Executive Pros to Know Awards recognize supply chain executives at manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises who are leading initiatives to help prepare their companies’ supply chains for the significant challenges of today’s business climate. This year’s list includes the 2014 Provider Pros to Know - individuals from software firms and service providers, consultancies or academia, who have helped their supply chain clients or the supply chain community at large prepare to meet these challenges - and Practitioner Pros, who do the same within their own companies.
During her tenure at GHX, Hall has worked to better understand the day-to-day roles of supply chain professionals in both healthcare provider and supplier organizations to ensure that GHX solutions meet customer end-to-end needs. One example is the work that Hall has done to drive the development of the GHX Collaboration Portal, a single software application that enables the entire healthcare supply chain -manufacturers, distributors, providers and group purchasing organizations - to work together throughout the contract and price implementation process to increase efficiency, reduce errors and improve pricing accuracy.
This year, Supply &Demand Chain Executive received more than 300 entries for its 2014 Pros to Know Award program. The magazine’s editor, Barry Hochfelder, commented on the program and this year’s winners:
