Leica Biosystems, a global leader in anatomic pathology workflow solutions and automation, today announced it joined the GHX electronic trading exchange for U.S. customers. In addition, Leica has also implemented the GHX eInvoicing solution, which helps streamline the procure-to-pay process and drive down business costs for its customers through supply chain automation.
U.S. healthcare organizations that are part of the GHX network can now transact with Leica Biosystems through the GHX electronic trading exchange. This allows customers to view their transactions and address discrepancies in real-time. The GHX Exchange enables provider organizations to send their electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions through a single connection as opposed to multiple point-to-point EDI connections.
Leica Biosystems has also implemented the GHX eInvoicing solution, enabling the delivery of electronic invoices to its customers without EDI capabilities. These customers will receive PDF-file invoices via an online portal. This will reduce administrative time while creating greater visibility to shipment status and payment information.
"Joining the GHX Exchange is a great opportunity to streamline processes, reduce waste and lower costs for both Leica Biosystems and our customers," said Mike Cusack, senior vice president and general manager, Leica Biosystems North America. “This will also give new customers easier access to our products and services.”
"We are very pleased to welcome Leica Biosystems to the GHX collaborative community," said Tina Murphy, senior vice president, Global Product Management, GHX. "Using our platform and solutions Leica Biosystems can now share in our goal of achieving more efficient, cost effective transactions with their customers."
