Astronaut Scott Kelly to Keynote 2018 GHX Healthcare Supply Chain Summit

Global Healthcare Exchange, LLC (GHX) announced that Astronaut Captain Scott Kelly will be headlining the upcoming 18th annual GHX Healthcare Supply Chain Summit, May 7-9, 2018 at Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. The GHX Healthcare Supply Chain Summit is an intensive, three-day event offering a wealth of information, expertise, networking opportunities and inspiration for all parties in the healthcare supply chain—providers, suppliers, distributors and GPOs—and across all levels of the organization, from strategic to tactical. Captain Scott Kelly, along with his twin brother Mark, paved the way for the future of space travel and exploration as the subjects of an unprecedented NASA study on how space affects the human body. His memoir of that trip is now a New York Times best-selling book, “Endurance: My Year in Space, A Lifetime of Discovery.” As a keynote speaker at the GHX Healthcare Supply Chain Summit, Kelly will share stories from space and personal reflections on leadership, teamwork and testing limits.

The GHXcellence Awards blend quantitative and qualitative criteria to honor true healthcare supply chain leaders and innovation. The winners represent organizations and individuals that maximize supply chain potential to drive out costs and improve patient care. • Trading Partner Pair of the Year: Celebrates a provider and supplier that have closely collaborated on supply chain initiatives to improve mutual business performance.
• Rookie of the Year: Honors the provider and/or supplier who has been on the GHX Exchange less than two years and has demonstrated its ability to accelerate time-to-value in critical areas that drive supply chain performance.
