GHX Honors Millennium Club Providers and Suppliers Transforming the Healthcare Supply Chain

Annual Volume of Automated Supply Chain Transactions Soars Since 2015; More than 63% of Suppliers and 45% of Providers Achieve Millennium Club Status for Four Consecutive Years
Louisville, CO — Monday, April 1, 2019

Global Healthcare Exchange, LLC (GHX) announced today the 43 healthcare provider and supplier organizations named to the 2018 GHX Millennium Club. The Millennium Club honors organizations that have achieved the highest levels of healthcare supply chain automation, generating at least one million automated transactions (including advanced order sets, among others) annually through the GHX Exchange. These organizations understand the transformative power of an advanced, technology-enabled supply chain in supporting the industry’s shift from volume to value-based care delivery.

Millennium Club honorees were selected by GHX based on an evaluation of the supply chain automation levels in 2018 of more than 1,500 hospitals and suppliers in the U.S. and Canada currently connected to the GHX Exchange. A significant percentage of both providers (44%) and suppliers (63%) being recognized in this year’s Millennium Club have received this honor for four consecutive years, underscoring their continued success in leveraging supply chain automation to strip cost and inefficiency out of healthcare. Both providers and suppliers honored in this year’s Millennium Club are also relying on the automated supply chain more extensively than ever before: the number of supply chain transactions for providers increased by more than 40% since 2015 and by more than 30% for suppliers during that same timeframe.

The GHX Millennium Club members will be recognized at an awards luncheon during the 2019 GHX Summit, April 29 – May 1, 2019, in San Antonio, TX.

“Providers and suppliers are working more collaboratively thanks to technology to promote transformative change in healthcare,” said Bruce Johnson, president and CEO at GHX. “The elite group of providers and suppliers we’re honoring in this year’s Millennium Club are leading their industry in turning to an advanced supply chain that helps them reduce, not shift, the cost of doing business and keep the focus on providing outstanding patient care. It’s particularly impressive to note the significant increase in the volume of supply chain transactions these organizations have conducted since GHX first launched the Millennium Club four years ago. We congratulate the members of our 2018 Millennium Club, particularly our two-, three- and four-time repeat honorees, for their accomplishments.”
