Lumere, Inc., a leading provider of evidence-based analytics and services to reduce costly and unwarranted variation in drugs and medical devices, has been named one of the 2019 Best Places to Work in Chicago. Crain’s Chicago Business’s annual listing honors 100 companies that have gone above and beyond in creating empowering, supportive and collaborative workplaces. This past year, Lumere rebranded and expanded its mission to support physicians and hospital systems in their quest to improve patient outcomes.
“Lumere is successful because our team consciously devotes time to creating a cerebral, fun and healthy environment,” said Sne Patel, Vice President of People and Culture at Lumere. “Each of us walks through the front door expecting to be challenged and supported by our colleagues every single day. That mindset isn’t just part of the mission written on our wall—it’s embodied by everyone, in word and action.”
Lumere demonstrated high scores in areas such as work/life balance; employee recognition programming; access to leadership; employee development and job advancement training; wellness programs; benefits; and opportunities to relieve stress and promote fun.
“From the outset, our ambition has been to build a team whose diverse experiences and backgrounds help them to perform their best work every day so that we can transform healthcare,” said Hani Elias, JD, MPH, Lumere co-founder and CEO. “I'm grateful to everyone at Lumere for contributing to a culture that encourages creative thinking, risk taking, and real collaboration so that we can change the way hospitals and doctors make decisions. This award is great validation of the work we’ve done, but I recognize that there is still much more we can and should do.”
The list was created based on confidential employee survey responses about workplace experiences and attitudes as well as a separate survey of employers on the company’s workplace policies, practices and demographics. Best Company Group was responsible for analyzing data and determining the final ranking.
The ranked list will be featured in the April 15th issue of Crain’s Chicago Business and will be available online. For more information on the Best Places to Work in Chicago program, visit www.bestplacestoworkchi.com.
