GHX Honored for Response to COVID-19, Female Leadership Contributions to Healthcare Supply Chain Innovation, Diversity & Inclusion

GHX and Chief Commercial Officer Tina Murphy Receive Accolades from TrustRadius, Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine, Stevie® Awards
Louisville, CO — Friday, October 2, 2020

Global Healthcare Exchange, LLC (GHX) today announced the company and its Chief Commercial Officer, Tina Murphy, have recently been honored by third party organizations for helping the healthcare industry navigate COVID-19 supply chain shortages, as well as for driving continued innovation and fostering greater diversity and inclusion.

"Tina is a passionate advocate for the power of diversity, a powerful role model for advancing GHX’s female employee base and an innovator who fearlessly steps in to address critical issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting challenges such as supply shortages," said GHX CEO Bruce Johnson. "I couldn’t be prouder of her and everyone at GHX for these industry honors. Tina and our entire team mobilized quickly to help providers and suppliers come together during healthcare’s hour of need so our customers remained focused on what really mattered most: saving lives. Tina embodies GHX's mission to enable better patient care through her leadership and understanding that diversity creates the kind of innovation our industry needs."

About the Honors

TrustRadius "Tech Cares"
In September, GHX was recognized as a TrustRadius "Tech Cares" winner. The awards recognize technology companies that have gone above and beyond to support their clients and communities in 2020 and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The award also recognizes companies that have contributed directly to combat the virus, either with products, knowledge or financial support. This honor recognizes GHX’s COVID-19 Information Center, a free comprehensive digital resource to help healthcare organizations access the data and information needed to serve patients and protect staff. GHX’s COVID-19 Information Center answers the call for timely, accurate information and actionable tools with the belief that knowledge sharing and open access to data are key elements in managing the crisis. The Information Center also includes a Critical Supply Reference List that helps providers identify supplies and clinically equivalent alternatives and gives suppliers greater visibility into fluctuating product demand. An additional list highlights pharmaceutical therapeutics at risk of shortage.

Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s "Women in Supply Chain"
Murphy was recently selected for inclusion in Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine’s inaugural "Women in Supply Chain" Award. The award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.

Stevie Awards
Murphy and GHX were also honored with two Silver Stevie Awards in the categories of  "Female Executive of the Year – Business Products –11 to 2,500 Employees" and "Most Valuable Corporate Response" (COVID-19). The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run worldwide. The Most Valuable Corporate Response award honors the contributions of individuals, groups and organizations that have worked valiantly over the past months to keep people safe, healthy, employed and informed.

In reviewing Murphy's submission, Stevies judges commented, "Tina's nomination shows how she has supported and delivered for GHX, as well as how she is creating a lasting legacy by educating on unconscious bias and ensuring best practices to have D&I are on the agenda." Another judge remarked, "Clearly GHX is in the center of the pandemic challenges as it provides key connections for healthcare suppliers to the providers. And with this visibility, their response to COVID-19 seems to have elevated the transparency for providers of their supply chain partners, bringing real value to the front-lines needing supplies."
